Therapy for Perfectionists in Nashville

You want to do it all. You want to do it all perfectly. You make it all look so easy. No one can even tell that you are carrying it all on your shoulders. You are tired of making it all look so easy. It looks good from the outside, but on the inside you are anxious and worn out. Perfectionism keeps you busy trying to do it all and may be keeping you from enjoying the life in front of you.

Maybe your perfectionism is holding you back from trying new things, which can be small things like a new hobby or applying for your dream job.

Maybe your perfectionism is creating unhealthy patterns in your relationships and you feel resentful of those around you who aren’t carrying their weight in the relationship.

Maybe your perfectionism is asking if you show up imperfectly in certain relationships will you still belong?

Maybe your perfectionism is beginning to feel more like anxiety and is impacting your entire body.

My approach to Healing From Perfectionism

I help perfectionists who are exhausted from doing everything “right” (but it still isn’t good enough) find new and compassionate ways to connect to themselves and loved ones without having to do it all perfectly. After your free phone consultation, we will spend the first few session creating a big picture of where you are coming from and where you want to go with you counseling goals. We will track how your perfectionism shows up and what stories your perfectionism tells. Through evidence based resources we will add in self-compassion skills to help you drop the perfectionism.
